Outdoor time

We go outside twice a day, morning generally backyard play and an afternoon walk; weather permitting.

Some days it may be too cold, too wet, or too hot for the children to safely play outside.  I follow this rough guideline to determine whether conditions are suitable for outdoor play.

It is too COLD if the weather is:
    • A cold weather alert has been issued by weather network
    • Weather conditions such as rain, freezing rain, high winds, blizzard or a snow storm
It is too HOT if the weather is:
    • A heat alert has been issued by weather network
    • Weather conditions such as rain, high winds, thunder or lightning storm
